windows 10 2004 new features Microsoft releases major Windows 10 updates in a staggered manner, which means that not all devices get the update immediately.
Over the past two years, the company has allowed users to decide whether they want to install an update (features) as the company calls it until the version they are using reaches the end of support.
The company is enforcing automatic updating shutdown , while preventing these computers from providing updates, due to known issues. The company then gradually removes these “protective reservations” as the issues are fixed.
Since Windows 10 version 2004 (May 2020 Update) was released one year ago, there have been many hang ups on some devices.

And while most of those update pauses were removed over the past year, the 2004 and 20H2 releases now account for 80% of all Windows 10 devices.
However, at least two upgrade blocks related to Conexant audio drivers remain in place, at least for some users.
Now, Microsoft has officially announced on the Known Issues page for both versions, that the issues have been resolved as of the day before yesterday, May 7, 2021.
This means that any devices that were prevented from upgrading to the May 2020 Update or the October 2020 Update from earlier versions will now be offered the update automatically.
The company also notes that 11% of users are still using the November 2019 Update (version 1909).

Additionally, the company has also added a group policy to Windows 10 allowing IT administrators to circumvent or disable these blocks and force devices to update, in case they deem it necessary.
